Healthy ambition is a decision we make that gives us direction, clarity, and grit to achieve a fulfilling vision.
It's time that you admit your ambitions.
Now, before you think I am implying to go be loud and declarative to other people about your plan to take over the world, please listen to my point. I believe the word 'ambition' gets a bad wrap. It's often connected with things like being self-absorbed or cut-throat. I think of people who will do whatever it takes to climb to the top and won't let anyone or anything get in his or her way - no matter the damage left in their wake.
This isn't the ambition I want to talk about today.
The ambition I am referring to is something that happens within us. A decision we make in ourselves that gives us direction, clarity, and grit to achieve a fulfilling vision. The ambition I'm talking about is a healthy internal motivator, not a loud exterior performance. This process is easier said than done, and that will be addressed in tomorrow's post.
For now, lets answer the following: How do you admit your ambitions? I want you to ask yourself what you truly want. What really makes you feel alive and happy? What do you want your creative practice to look like and transform into overtime?
Admit these things to yourself, and you'll have a clear target to focus on.
