Welcome to Make Daily! This email contains an idea, reflection, and a simple action you can take on your work today.

Idea 💡

"There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that's your own self."

— Aldous Huxley

Reflection 🤔

We spend a lot of time distracting ourselves with external problems.

It often lets us 'off the hook' of being responsible for an outcome if the problem is too big for you to solve on your own.

On the other hand, our internal problems - insecurity, greed, envy, etc - are much more difficult to face because you are soley responsible for the outcome of what is hurting you on the inside.

If more people worked on their internal problems, they would be better equipped to resolve the external. Not the other way around.

Action ✅

What internal problem have you been avoiding? Take 5 minutes to write what it is and how you can face it today.

About the creator 👤

Aldous Huxley was an English writer and philosopher. He wrote nearly 50 books, both novels and non-fiction works, as well as wide-ranging essays, narratives, and poems.
