Idea 💡

If you don’t get out there and define yourself, you’ll be quickly and inaccurately defined by others.” ― Michelle Obama

Reflection 🤔

It’s natural to want to fit in. For most of human evolution, being different could mean life or death. The instinct is deep in our bones.

But times have changed and our bodies didn’t get the memo. You no longer need to fight lions or ration your food supply in the way we did for most of evolution. You no longer need to fit in to survive.

If you blindly follow the old way, you’ll end being what everyone else needs you to be, instead of who you want to be.

Action ✅

Your identity is formed in two ways:

  1. Assigned by others (natural)
  2. Chosen by self (unnatural)

Where can you redefine yourself to be who you want to be today?
